Hatred
Hate, hatred, loathe, detest, greatly dislike. Hate is to feel intense or passionate dislike. Well that's what the dictionary says. But did you know that hate could also be godly? You heard me, hatred can be godly. It boils down to what is going on in the heart and the reason for the hate. "You who love the Lord, HATE evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked." Psalm 97:10. We are to hate evil. "A righteous man HATES lying, but a wicked man is loathsome and comes to shame." Proverbs 13:5. We are to hate lying, which is also falsehood. "I have HATED the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked." Psalm 26:5. That one speaks for itself. If you are gathering together to plot evil, then we should hate it. But if you notice just these few verses that I have pointed out does not say to hate mankind. We are to hate the deeds of mankind and that my friend is Godly hatred. But to keep from becoming haughty and proud, we must let the Holy Spirit guide us in the Godly hatred because for us humans Godly hatred can very quickly turn into plain ole hated and then we sin. God does not want us to hate our fellow mankind, but the deeds that are evil. And "if we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth." 1 John 1:6. That means if we are following Jesus Christ, and we let the sin continue and do nothing about it then we are NOT following Jesus Christ. If it is against God and His commandments then we too should hate it and be against it. God's word tells us to love our brothers and sisters. We can not hate them but we can hate the sin that is in their lives. And yes, we are to take a stand against it. We can not be silent. If we are silent then how are they to know that it is against God's will? They don't! Again all of this has to be done in the Holy Spirit or else YOU will fail miserably. When are Christians going to rise up and say, "We are no longer silent!" When are we going to call out our brothers and sisters for not following God's commands? When are we going to stand on the Promises of God? When are we going to say, "Not today, Satan, you can't have my fellow man? I will fight for them!" Because truly that is all Satan wants, is for one person NOT to follow God. That is all, plain and simple. So hit your knees and ask God to show what He HATES and what He wants you to do about it and then rise up and move on to what He is calling you to do. I also beg of you to ask the Holy Spirit to feel you with so much wisdom, knowledge and discernment that you will immediately know what the answer is and which way to turn. Here is one more scripture that will help guide us in showing the world Jesus. Jesus is love but He also took a stand on the things against the Father and He was not afraid to speak of it. "These six things the Lord HATES, yes seen are an abomination to Him; a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among the brethren." Proverbs 6:16-19. That is God's words not mine. Let's rise up and show the world Jesus, the true Jesus and not be silent anymore. Have a blessed day and rise up children of God.
