Gifts

Good Morning. I had someone ask me just yesterday, what gifts from the Lord? I told them that God has many gifts and he gives them to the people. We may have different gifts and good at different things but it is the same Holy Spirit that gives them to the people. With that being said God has led me to 1 Corinthians 12. Let's take a look at this. Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brother and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. (Look God is telling us that all we need is right here in His Word. He does not leave us and gives all the information that we need for what he has called us to do.) You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.(God says somehow or other. We choose to be led astray because we don't filter everything through the Holy Spirit.) Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus be cursed, and no one can say, Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit distributes them. (See everyone is used and giving gifts and the Holy Spirit gives them out according to God's needs and what He wants you to do.) There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in EVERYONE it is the same God at work. (No matter what you do or where you are God is calling you.) Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. (Is the Holy Spirit showing in you?) To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. ALL these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. (See many gifts for many people. Now just to show this is not the fruits of the Spirits, those are different than these gifts. He has called all of us. He uses the same Spirit for all the gifts. So why do we fight among our religions. We have the same God and the same Lord and from Scripture the same Holy Spirit. We need to come together for the common good.) Rise up warriors and step out of our comfortable boats and use the gifts that God has so graciously given. Have a blessed day! Remember we are in a spiritual war!!!!!
