Falling Away

Good Morning all. If you are reading this then it is a good morning. You got to get stand in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. I didn't write yesterday because it was my day of rest and being in the presence of Jesus. Listening to what He has to say not all the chaos that is going on around us. We are still in Hebrews. We are going to start at the end of chapter 5 and go on into chapter 6. "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. (We have gotten away from reading the Bible and letting the Holy Spirit tell us what God means.) In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. (Guys, if we have been reading the Bible and gathering with the saints, how come so many of us do not know what God's word really means? He gave us Pastors to guide us but that doesn't mean we don't get into a personal relationship with Jesus. We are all called, we all have a purpose.) You need milk, not solid food! (Most of us are not babies in Christ, we just have not put forth the effort to have that intimate relationship with Jesus for whatever reason.) Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.But solid food is for the mature, who by CONSTANT USE have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. (God is reminding us as we grew from little babies into adult hood our eating changed, when we were little babies spiritually we started small with Jesus loves me but now that we are adults we should be understanding the difficult things of the Bible not just Jesus loves me. But most are still at Jesus loves me and don't want to go further, where do you stand?) Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgement. And God permitting, we will do so. (If you have been a Christ follower for any length of time, it is time for you to do your calling, stop going back to the very basics but adding to the very basics. Where is your courage? Why should God bless this nation and these people? We can't even get passed the basics and move into a more mature relationship with Jesus.) It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. (If you have listened to God before and you kinda of gotten relaxed then this is for you. He is saying move back to repentance and do what he is calling you to do. It may not be pretty but he doesn't care, he just wants you in his arms. Today, answer his call.) To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. (When we live on the fence, we put Jesus right back on that Christ daily, Sorry guys once is enough. Would you want to be crucified daily? Don't harden your hearts for what is on this earth.) Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. (Which crop are you? Here he is using the comparison of land that produces and land that does not to Christ followers. You either produce a healthy crop or you produce thorns. Which one?) God is trying to get our attention. How many of you are listening? I don't know but I am praying that each of you that reads this is moving pass the milk and onto solid foods. One day He will say one of two things to you- Welcome home good and faithful servant or away from me, I know you not. Which one will you be in? He has opened our eyes and our hearts do not let another minute go by without living fully for Him. It is go time for Christ followers, it's revival time.
