East to the West
When I started on my journey with Jesus, I can say that I didn't fully understand things and I still don't. I never stop learning and applying Jesus to my life. Then as I prayed, studied and let the Holy Spirit teach me, I am beginning to learn new things. Things that I thought I knew were not what I knew and things that I didn't know I was being taught. I gave up on religion a long time ago. But wasn't real sure what to do. Then I learned how to have a relationship with Jesus. And during this time I learned about forgiveness. When I say forgiveness, I am talking about how far Jesus removes our sin from our life if we truly follow Him. Let's look at a verse. "For as the heavens are high above the earth. So great is His mercy towards those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:11-12. So this got me a thinkin'. How far is the east from the west? Then someone showed me and it really opened my eyes. We as human beings are visual creatures, we like to see so having a relationship with Jesus is hard because that relationship is built on nothing but faith. So come on a journey with me. Say I start at the North Pole and I keep a straight line, I can end up in the South Pole. And if I continue on that straight line, I will end up back in the North Pole. But if I start traveling east in straight line, I will always continue to go east. I will never meet west. The only way that I meet west is if I turn around and go back. So if Jesus removes our sin as far as the east is from the west, then they will never meet unless we turn from Jesus and go back the way we started. That is so amazing. We never have to deal with it again because we are with Jesus on this journey and we will never meet it again. We are the ones that remember our sin and allow Satan to keep reminding us. We never fully give it over to God and let Him remove it as far as the east is from the west. Why are you still holding on to what God so desperately wants to remove? Give it to God, yes it might be painful. Yes, it will be a hard journey but when given to God, you will never meet it again. Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
