Do you know His voice?

Good morning brothers and sisters. How do you know when Jesus is speaking to you? How do you know that it is not Satan, the great deceiver? I know because the Holy Spirit within me. But also know that following Jesus goes against just about every fleshy feeling there is. I also know by the words that are spoken. I know by what He is saying to me. Jesus tells us when we follow Him, we will know His voice. John 10:1-4. 1- Most assuredly I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way; the same is a thief and a robber. Right here Jesus is telling us there is no other way but Him. 2- But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3- To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4- And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. When we follow Jesus, we learn to discern His voice. And Jesus is not going to ask you to do something against the written word. Satan is the great deceiver and he has deceived many thinking that they are following but are not. I know because I have been chief among those. Jesus also tells us to be careful of this. Look at verses 5-6. 5- Yet they will by NO means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. I know the voice of my Lord and Savior and when the great deceiver comes to whisper in my ear, I do not follow. His voice is different. He talks a good talk but that is all it is a talk. He comes to turn you away from the voice that will save your soul. The voice that will bring peace, that will bring joy. He wants you to turn from Him who can save you. Now are you like the last verse of this scripture. 6- Jesus used this illustration but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them. Learn to hear from your Lord and Savior. Learn the voice of Jesus. Rise up child of God, rise up! Have a blessed day!
