Do you have ears?

Good morning brothers and sisters. The answer to the question is that most people have ears. Now my next question is do you hear? And of course the next question is do you listen? In the Bible, Jesus says many times, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Now for the longest time that really confused me. I have ears and I hear the preacher teaching me about the Lord. But as you know for the longest time, I followed religion and not Jesus. I pretended to be a Christ follower. But when Jesus got a hold of me, it all changed. Now I understand that even though they hear the word of the Lord, does not mean the understand the word of the Lord. Our hearts has ears too. The ears of our heart allows the word of the Lord to come into us and give us understanding. So when He said this, He was calling all of those who would chose Him. And if you have ever read the Bible or especially the teachings of Jesus, then you know He most always taught in parables. Why do you think that is? Well, for those who followed Jesus would understand the meaning of the parable. Those who didn't would either not be concerned or would ask questions and learn to hear with the ears of their hearts. Because you can go and hear the world all day long but unless it comes into your heart, you will not understand it. It all makes sense to me now. To hear and understand the word of the Lord, we have to clean out the ears to our hearts. So are the ears of your heart hearing and understanding the word of the Lord? If not clean them out.
