Do we heed?

Good morning brothers and sisters. Today is a wonderfully blessed day. I am thankful that my I am alive and I am alive in Jesus Christ. If that was all that I had to be thankful for then that would be enough. I say that but do I heed the words of the Lord? Do I take the warning signs serious? Do I look around and see and act upon it? No not always. I have to be more diligent with what God has called me to do. He gave us warnings and examples but do we heed them? Lets take a look at Zechariah 1. I know people does not want to hear this but I must do it anyways. 1- In the eight month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 2- "The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. 3- Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to Me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you say the Lord of hosts. 4- Do not be like your fathers to whom the former prophets preached, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds. But they did not hear nor heed Me says the Lord. God did not put these words of warning in the Bible for us to say that they are just for Israel. He put them in their for all to see and heed. Because God knows we are no different. Yet in many cases we are worse because we have Jesus the Messiah. And so many of bank on what He did at the cross without giving of ourselves. Jesus died for all mankind. He made a way for us. He died for my wrong. He died for your wrong. He willing came from heaven to die and not simple die but to take the shame and be our example. So do you heed the words? Do you look at the past and see we are no different? It is pass time that we rise up and unite under our Lord and Savior. It is time we dig our heels in and make a stand.
