Do not be afraid!

Good morning brothers and sisters. Are you afraid? Do you worry about what state our world is in? Do you even recognize Jesus when He comes? Maybe when Jesus comes, you don't know if it is really Him. I know that has happened many times in my life. I didn't know it was Jesus because it was so out of the box. But I am learning that is how Jesus does it. His disciples did not always recognize Him. But when we hear His voice, we know it is Him. Let's look at Mark 6. When we go into this, we need to remember that the disciples just saw Jesus feed a multitude with the bare minimum. I don't know about you but if I witnessed that, I would be on a spiritual high. 45- Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. 46- And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray. He has sent the multitude away, his disciples were already in the boat and rowing to the other side. Jesus has also gone into the mountains to be alone with His Father. He went to talk to His Father. 47- Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on the land. I am sure several hours has passed by now. 48- Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. Jesus is standing a good distance away and He saw them struggling. See even when we don't know it, Jesus is standing afar and sees us struggling. He goes out to them, just like He meets us where we are. He could have just passed them by. 49- And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost and cried out; 50- for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid." They didn't recognize Him walking to them. I didn't always recognize when Jesus walked to me. Sometimes, no most of the time, I was afraid. But when He spoke, they knew. When Jesus speaks to us, we know. We don't always obey but we know. Sometimes we even question, was that really from Jesus? But we know because that voice is not like any other. Listen to Him today. He is calling you. Understand what He is saying to you and remember He says "Do not be afraid, it is I!" Have a blessed day. Rise up child of God, rise up!
