Did they stop?

Good morning brothers and sisters. I am so sorry that I missed yesterday. I had a little accident and was not feeling well. But I am feeling better today. So I want to continue on with Stephen. He now has become a martyr. You know Stephen was the first one to become martyred. And this had me take a long hard look at myself. Will I have that kind of faith? The answer is yes, I will. I know I will. Jesus is not here, and now Stephen has been killed. But remember Jesus promised them that they would be hated for His namesake. Luke 21:16-17. 16- You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17- And you will be hated by ALL for My name's sake. So many would have given up now that Jesus was killed, Stephen is killed. People are being attacked just for believing in Jesus. They don't even have to be out there teaching like the disciples. If you were a believer, they were coming for you. It had to be stopped. Can any relate to this in our modern times? But did this stop the believers? Lets take a look at Acts 8: 4-8. 4- Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. 5- Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6- And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7- For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8- And there was great joy in that city. No they did not stop! Their faith was bigger than their fear. So too I must keep going. I must keep writing. I must keep teaching. Nothing will stop me from proclaiming Jesus to all who He sends to me and me too. So what will stop you? Can you be stopped? Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
