Comfort

So much confusion, so much chaos, so much hatred, so much fighting. But if you are living in Christ there is no reason to worry. Did you know that there is exactly 365 times that God tells us to not be afraid, discouraged. That is one for every day of the year. We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:15-22- "See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourself and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." So today rejoice, pray, and give thanks. That is God's will for us. The Bible also tells us in Philippians 4:4-7- "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." If we are in constant communication with the Lord, none of this should bother you. We need to hit our knees and ask God where and what as his children does want from us. What is he calling each of you to do? Where is he calling you to go? He doesn't want us to get in a tit for tat argument. We state what he wants us to state and then if they don't want any part of it then we dust off our feet and move on. But just like it says in Thessalonians "DO NOT QUENCH THE SPIRIT!" So many of us do. We are afraid of what others might say about us so we just keep silent. We are to rejoice in these troubling times because the day of the Lord is coming closer and closer. Because if you turn back to Thessalonians 4:16-18- "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. The we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." Jesus is coming and we are to be prepared by not just hiding in our homes and waiting, he will catch you asleep. Pray like you have never before and listen to what God is telling you to do. If you are a child of the King, then it is your job to proclaim Jesus. And lastly, in Romans 13:11-14- "And do this, knowing the time, that now IT IS HIGH TIME to AWAKE out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts." Get out of your worldly thinking and get into Godly thinking. What is happening, should be happening and which side of the line are you on World or God? You can't do both. Not my words but Gods. James 4:4 says this- "Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." But not just there. 1John 2:15- "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." Guys it doesn't mean we don't love people, we do. We don't go after what the world tells us to go after. We don't believe what the world tells us we must believe. We stand firm in Jesus Christ. So have a blessed day and don't be caught asleep. RISE UP!
