Call on Jesus

Since the beginning of all this madness, I have seen this Scripture being thrown around. 2 Chronicles 7:14 but I am going to go back on more verse and do verses 13 and 14. WHEN I SHUT UP THE HEAVEN AND THERE IS NO RAIN, OR COMMAND THE LOCUSTS TO DEVOUR THE LAND OR SEND PESTILENCE AMONG MY PEOPLE, IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND. Since all this, this is the most used Scripture. But God has not healed our land. And I got to wondering why. So, I asked Him. "Lord, all these people are praying this and you have not heard. We are going further and further down the rabbit hole. People are getting nastier and nastier. Please help me to understand." So then I have been praying this for a while. And this morning I got my answer and it shocked me. One we have not humbled ourselves. Two we do not seek His face, and I mean truly seek His face. And we definitely have not turned from our wicked ways. God had me go to Proverbs and this is the Scripture I got, THEN THEY WILL CALL ON ME, BUT I WILL NOT ANSWER; THEY WILL SEEK ME DILIGENTLY, BUT THEY WILL NOT FIND ME. BECAUSE THEY HATED KNOWLEDGE AND DID NOT CHOOSE THE FEAR OF THE LORD. THEY WOULD HAVE NONE OF MY COUNSEL AND DESPIESED MY EVERY REBUKE. THEREFORE THEY SHALL EAT THE FRUIT OF THEIR OWN WAY, AND BE FILLED TO THE FULL WITH THEIR OWN FANCIES. Proverbs 1:28-31. Because we have not heeded God's warning and we have not listened to His commands, He is not going to heal the land. Oh, it will get healed one day but I am not so sure that many are ready for that day. As I have been studying the Bible, I have come to really understand what God's commands are. Do I get it right every single day, nope not even close. When I see some of the injustice and the way mankind is treating each other, I get angry and God has to reign me in. No president or government is going to save. The only one is Jesus Christ. But He also promises- go on down to Proverbs 1:33. BUT WHOEVER LISTENS TO ME WILL DWELL SAFELY, AND WILL BE SECURE, WITHOUT FEAR OF EVIL. We all who are called by His name, take what we have always been taught, hit our knees and ask God to open our eyes and let's look at His Word. Does it mean what we think it means? We need wisdom, we need discernment, we need knowledge. And Proverbs 1:1-7 tells us how to get it. THE PROVERBS OF SOLOMON THE SON OF DAVID, KING OF ISRAEL: TO KNOW WISDOM AND INSTRUCTION, TO PERCEIVE THE WORDS OF UNDERSTANDING, TO RECEIVE THE INSTRUCTIONS OF WISDOM, JUSTICE, JUDGMENT, AND EQUITY; TO GIVE PRUDENCE TO THE SIMPLE, TO THE YOUNG MAN KNOWLEDGE AND DISCRETION. A WISE MAN WILL HEAR AND INCREASE LEARNING, AND A MAN OF UNDERSTANDING WILL ATTAIN WISE COUNSEL, TO UNDERSTAND A PROVERB AND AN ENIGMA, THE WORDS OF THE WISE AND THEIR RIDDLES. THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE, BUT FOOLS DESPISE WISDOM AND INSTRUCTION. Where are you men and women of courage? We need to get our cars off of cruise control and take a defensive driving course. We need to open up the manual of life and live it. Have a blessed day.
