Being Thankful

Good morning brothers and sisters. I know it is the time the holiday season starts and usually around Thanksgiving we remember to be thankful. But do we remember all the other 364 days to be thankful. God blesses us those other times also. This year I am starting new traditions as you will call them. I made something for Thanksgiving and we are doing some new things. Let's see if this works. Maybe I haven't shown enough thankfulness for others to see. So what does thankful mean? It means the feeling of being happy or grateful for something. So it is a feeling, we feel. And to express thankfulness we must be grateful. So we are going to start with scriptures to get us being thankful. Psalm 100:4- Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 1 Chronicles 16:34- Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. When we start thanking people for little things, thankfulness grows in our hearts. They could have just said "you look nice today." Be thankful. But most importantly find one reason to thank God today. Just one. Mine is found in the scripture. His mercy endures forever. I am thankful for His mercy. I am also thankful for others. But from now until well from now, I will find one thing that I am thankful for and praise God for it. Let's sow thankfulness in our hearts. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
