Awakening!!

Good Morning brothers and sisters. As I awoke today, God has guided my heart and head to the word "awakening." So what does that mean. 1)an act from waking from sleep. Romans 13:11- And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Ephesians 5:14- Therefore He says: Awake you who sleep, Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light. We Christ followers have been asleep for way too long. We have bickered amongst ourselves. We have left the church. We have divided and split. It is "HIGH TIME" like scripture says, for us to wake up from our sleep. We as Christ followers should not be divided. We should not be bickering over things. We all have the same God, same Jesus, same Spirit that lives in each of us. Are we just not listening? And the second definition of awakening says this: 2)an act or a moment when suddenly becoming aware of something. We act like we don't know who Jesus is or what He wants us to do. Are we waiting for 2 Peter 3:10- But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; but the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. We can not wait for that day. We need to do what Matthew 24:42-44 - Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. See we don't know when He is coming and furthermore, we don't know when our last day on this earth will be. We need to wake up, rise up and stand together on the very foundation that we claim to believe in. Who is going on the journey with me? Could it be radical? Yes! Will people mock you? Yes! Will you find joy and peace? Yes! Will you find rest in the arms of Jesus? Yes! Will there be work? Yes! It is up to us to show the world Jesus and time is coming when we won't be able to. The Bible in some places is already labeled hate speech. What is it going to take for us Christ followers to come together? Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
