Good morning brothers and sisters. Yesterday I wrote about working and that the harvest was ready but the workers are few. It seems like an overwhelming task. But today God says, "work on what I commanded you to work on and the next works on what I commanded them to work on and you will come together." We look around at today and we see all the churches. My thought is they are not filled with Christ following people. They are not even filled with people that are hurting. God's temple is empty. God's temple is not to it's glory. The temple of my home isn't even filled full with God's glory. That is what has got to change at my house. So that is what I am working on. But as a whole we need to work on the temple of God. And as I opened my Bible this morning, I opened to Haggai. I was turning somewhere else but this caught my eye. Haggai 2: 1-4. 1- In the seventh month on the twenty first of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 2- "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying, 3- "Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes nothing?" God asked if any had seen the temple when it was used for its purpose and then tells them to compare it to now. Is our churches used for God's purpose? Or is it a place for social gathering? Are lives coming to Jesus and letting Him heal all that is broken? Or is it a place where we just go to? But look at what God told Haggai to speak next. 4- "Yet now be strong Zerubbabel", says the Lord, and "be strong Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and be strong all you people of the land", says the Lord, and WORK for I am with you, says the Lord of hosts. God is telling them to work on the temple. God is telling us to work on His temple also. We have much work to do and God is commanding us to do it. I don't know about you but I better get to working. Don't worry what God has called someone else to work on, work on what God has commanded you to work on. And when everyone is working, then we will see God's plan come together. Have a blessed day! Rise up child of God, rise up!
