A thin line
Good Morning brothers and sisters. Today is a new day. Wednesday night I had to go to the ER with someone. We got there and we had to be checked to make sure we didn't have any signs of the virus. We got our temperature taking, they gave us their masks, made us use hand sanitizer and then gave us a bracelet to let everyone else know that we were ok, not infected. Those who had symptoms had a different bracelet. So we get into the waiting room and there was two signs, one for a place for virus symptoms to sit and the other was where those who didn't have any symptoms sat. Now dividing those two sitting areas was one thin hospital curtain, you all know the type. That is all that divided the sick from the not sick. Wow! But God at that moment used that to teach a lesson. That thin little curtain is some of our faith. And the good news is that is all it takes for God to work some mighty big miracles in your life. And you know God, when He is teaching, He sends us to His word. Matthew 17:14-21- 14- And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15- "Lord, have mercy on my son, or he is an epileptic and suffers severely, for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16- So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.' 17- Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me." 18- And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19- Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" 20- Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move, from here to there' and it will move; and NOTHING will be impossible for you. 21- However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." See a mustard is one of the smallest seeds there is. Well after some digging, the mustard seed is the smallest seed. Now that is what our faith looks like when we first come to Jesus. Or like that tiny little curtain separating us from the world. But as the mustard seed grows, it becomes a tree for birds to nest in. So a pretty big tree. Now as we grow by praying, studying, fasting, praising and worshipping Him, our faith grows also. The tiny little curtain becomes a more sturdy wall and then an unmovable wall. So if your faith is like the mustard seed or the tiny little curtain, break out God's word and watch Him grow your faith into something that can't be moved or taken down. Have a blessed day and rise up children of God, rise up!
