Good morning brothers and sisters. Today, I am asking the Lord to search each of our hearts and remove any and everything that is not of Him. It will hurt. Some of the things we have been holding onto for so long, that it will hurt to remove. Remember when your parents told you right before they busted your butt, "This hurts me more than it hurts you." Well, Jesus feels the same way because it hurts Him that we have held on to it for so long. It is so embedded it is a part of us. But I want to look at the words of Zechariah, the prophet. Zechariah 1:1-6. In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 2- "The Lord has been very angry with your fathers." 3- Therefore say to them, "Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to Me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you," says the Lord of hosts. 4- "Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying 'Thus says the Lord of hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds." But they did not hear nor heed Me, says the Lord. 5- Your fathers where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6- Yet surely My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they overtake your fathers? So they returned and said: Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us, according to our ways and according to our deeds, so He has dealt with us." Guys, Jesus is tugging at some of your hearts. He wants you whole but it is only Him that can make you whole. God does remove His hand. It is when we turn from our ways to His ways that we can truly be whole. He will put us back together in time. You don't have to do it alone. Rise up child of God, rise up!
