What is love? I mean what is true love. Everyone goes to a certain verse for love and they cling to it. But are we loving like we should. 1 John 3:16. ""By this we know love, because He laid down His live for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." Loving someone you like is easy but someone that you find hard to like well its hard. In Romans 12:17-21. "Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord. Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." Do not be over come by evil, but overcome evil with good." We are to love the person. And truly why do we have to pay people back for mean words. Let that be on their head. Also when someone does something against you, and you are kind, just like the Scripture above, it hurts them all the more while you are with good conscience. God tells us to be angry over salvation issues not the world issues. We are to be angry when someone uses Scripture for their own gain and not for the edification of the church. And just as a reminder we are the church. We represent God. We represent Jesus in our life. We represent the Holy Spirit living in us. And how do we combat evil? We have to be connected to God. We have to have the Holy Spirit within us. Look at Jesus being tempted by Satan. Luke 4:1-13. "Then Jesus being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. And the devil said to Him, If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread. But Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, All this authority, I will give You, and their glory, for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours. And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind Me Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, If you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you. And, in their hand they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. And Jesus answered and said to him, It has been said, You shall not tempt the Lord your God. Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time." Jesus combated evil with Scripture. That is why it is so important for us to stay grounded in Christ. If we let Jesus say the words and teach us the words, we don't have to fight the battle. Because we have already won. We also have to know what the Scriptures mean not what we think they mean but really mean. Because if you didn't know, Satan knows Scripture better than we do. And he will use it against us every time. Time to access the Holy Spirit, live by the Holy Spirit, walk and talk by the Holy Spirit, then and only then will we see some change. Yes, things are a going according to God's plan, but He wants us out there showing the way to Jesus. And we just are not doing it. Have a blessed day and RISE UP!
