Joy

Good Morning all. Today I sit pondering where does one find real joy. Not just to be happy but joy. Joy when the times are hard, joy when the times are good. And I had to turn to the Bible because in Christ Jesus is where we find JOY! Look at Psalms 96:1-3. "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." This one scripture tells us to sing unto to the Lord. When one sings or is with music they just feel lighter in there heart. Well, at least I do. So singing helps me. We need to sing to the Lord at the top of our lungs. Give a huge shout out to Jesus the first thing you do when you wake up. The Bible also tells us in Psalms 94:18-19 "When I said my foot is slipping, your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy." He might let us slip but he never lets us fall. His love keeps us going. When the times are hard, he is there to console you. But you have to have that outstretched hand. Also in Psalms 95:1-2 "Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song." Also in Psalms 98:1-5 "Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing." If you don't know where to find joy, start with Psalms. Our pure joy that we can have through all circumstances is only found in Jesus. So lift your holy hands and sing a song of thanksgiving today and find JOY! Have a blessed day! RISE UP!
